Online prescription service is reserved for existing Abbeyleix Medical Centre patients only.

Only holders of valid medical cards are entitled to free prescription requests. All other requests incur standard charges.

Online prescriptions will only be provided to patients who have had a GP consultation within the last 12 months.

We do not provide short term prescriptions for antibiotics, sleeping tablets, acute anxiety medications, short term pain medications such as (Lyrica, Gabapentin, Palexia, ...) or medications like Concerta, Ritalin, Vyvanse unless we have a valid Psychiatrist script sent through with request.

The maximum duration that repeat prescriptions can be issued for depends on a number of clinical factors e.g requirement for ongoing monitoring, specialist advice etc. If we can't provide the number of months requested we will send a text message to inform you of why and what the next steps will be.

The maximum duration for any repeat script is 6 months

Prescriptions will only be sent electronically to nominated pharmacies and cannot be emailed to patients directly.

Prescriptions can only be sent to pharmacies within the Republic of Ireland.

Refunds (if applicable) will not be provided if the terms and conditions above are not adhered to.
